Privacy Policy - online and mobile messaging

This website uses TWIPLA as a website analytics service. TWIPLA is a website analysis service that collects data traffic on our website and general information from website visitors. We collect statistics to improve the experience of our website visitors. We never use cookies for this purpose.

As a website operator that uses TWIPLA to measure reach, we may process information about the device you are using and its characteristics, information about technical features of the website visit, the number of page visits and statistically relevant behavior of our visitors on the website, depending on the data protection level we have activated. The platform does not use the collected data to identify individual users or to match the data with additional information about an individual user.

Depending on the location from which you access our website, it is possible that TWIPLA will not collect any information about the device you are using due to our technical settings.

Regarding our mobile messaging services, we provide automated appointment reminders and digital requests for paperwork for patients who opt in. Additionally, we're working on setting up a system so patients can text our office number as another way to reach us.

Your mobile information will not be shared with any 3rd parties for any purpose. SMS messages are currently only sent via either our EHR software (for appointment reminds or health surveys). Data and messaging rates may apply for these types of messages and you can always change your mind to opt in or out. We will update our Privacy Policy when we finalize a text message system that allows you to converse with us.

When This Might Change

Right now, we use the highest level of privacy with TWIPLA, storing the least amount of your data. Web cookies aren't the kind that we enjoy. There may come a time, however, when we are no longer using TWIPLA, and may switch to a different analytics service. At that time, we'll update our Privacy Policy and work to make sure a new pop up happens when you visit our website to notify you of the change. In the meantime, your data is yours. We have our hands full as it is with HIPAA.

Regarding SMS messages, we're working finding the best fit for us between two different messaging options. Your mobile information is currently protected by our EHR software and HIPAA compliance. Our goal is to keep that level of protection for you across whatever messaging service we use and to make sure that your data is never used by a 3rd party without your consent. Once we go live with 2 way messaging between us and you, we'll update this policy so you can rest assured at knowing how your data is being used (or not).
